Today was a midol and hot chocolate kind of day, if you get my drift, lucky for me hubs wanted Katsudon. And, when we have katsudon he likes to cook it! Now, I'm not going to say, "nope, you aren't allowed to cook dinner" so he made this yummy dish!

Here's the handsome man cooking dinner!
While he was cooking, I was taking pictures of all his prep work. :)

Here's the Recipe!

Pork Katsudon
Thin sliced pork. Whatever is your favorite cut. We used a pork loin. (Can also use chicken)
Panko (japanese bread crumbs)
Flour
1 egg
Ton Katsu Sauce (found at asain food market)
noodles or rice

In individual bowls pour some flour, panko,  and the egg beaten. The flour and panko aren't exact measurements. just enough to cover the amount of pork or chicken you are using. Proceed to salt and pepper your meat. After the meat has been salted and peppered, coat in flour. dip the floured meat in the egg, and than coat the meat in the panko. heat some oil in a skillet over medium high heat. (we used our cast iron skillet, but cast iron isn't required). Once the oil has been heated place meat in skillet and let brown. Cook 3-4 minutes on each side, or until a deep golden brown making sure that the internal temperature of the meat is correct. Slice meat and serve over noodles or rice. (We like udon noodles) than pour some tonkatsu sauce over top. Enjoy!
