Welcome to My Obsession
Okay, obsession may be a little bit of an exaggeration, but, I love food! I've always felt that the way to somebody's heart is through their stomach, and from my experiences cooking and baking, it is true! At my husband's work, I am a bit of a legend. When my husband started his new job I baked my best chocolate chip cookie recipe for them, and ever since they request them very often. Any baker would say it is a great compliment when people ask if you put "crack" in the cookies (at least, I know I think it's a great compliment). It means they love them, and don't want to stop eating them. Ever since the first time sending the cookies with him, I am volunteered to make them.
Now, don't get me wrong. I am not complaining. In fact, I love when I'm volunteered to make them cookies, because it gives me an excuse to bake! I love baking. It is a great release, and the fact that he takes them to work gives me a reason to bake them, but not eat them. My waste line absolutely loves his work because they get to indulge instead of me!
When KC and I got married last october I made it a priority to give him good home cooked meals. It is a joy for me to take dinner to him on my nights off work or school. He works the swing shift so we don't get to eat dinner together. Because of this, I take him a hot meal for dinner whenever I can. That means lots new recipes and a lot of food experiments. If you are willing, I would like to invite you to come along for the ride. The ride that will take you on a food adventure to feed the appetite of yourself, friends, and family. Welcome to the adventure!
